Six matters to verify before committing

Use these points in a private conversation. The availability, procedures and written commitments of the selected plan determine the real answer.

01 / Open business

List open transactions, existing listing and buyer agreements, referral obligations and commission responsibilities. Confirm any transfer with the supervising brokers and clients where required.

02 / Customer continuity

Document your approved CRM export, contacts, email, website, phone, advertising, listing photos and branding. Do not move private records without the necessary rights and consent.

03 / License and MLS

Verify Florida DBPR affiliation changes, board/MLS access, insurance and supervision effective dates. Avoid a gap in lawful practice.

04 / Real brokerage economics

Model full GCI, closed sides, average sale price, company-generated referrals, split and cap rules, compliance/E&O, recurring fees and sale-price-related risk charges.

05 / Broker access

Ask who reviews contracts and advertising, how urgent deal questions are escalated, what training is included and what is provided in writing.

06 / First new files

Confirm your signed agreement and eligible tools, test the authorized client and transaction processes and review the handoff before client deadlines.
